Emma Riley

Meet Emma 👋

Emma is Zookie's senior editor and a former vet nurse who traded scrubs for a keyboard. After five years in small-animal practice, she spent eight years writing about Australian pet life — from winter skin care to apartment living with pets.

She shares her Melbourne home (and most of her couch) with Biscuit, a retired racing greyhound who sleeps 20 hours a day and reviews calming beds very professionally.
